GCS NewsFlash 11/2017

In 2017, GCS celebrates its 10th Anniversary

10 years ago, in 2007, the High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart, the Jülich Supercomputing Centre, and the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre formed the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing. By sharing expertise and resources, these three centres have provided world-class supercomputing resources and support to Germany, Europe, and the world. These resources have helped solve some of the world’s most challenging scientific challenges, and by recently securing its next decade of funding, GCS will only continue to support researchers at the forefront of scientific and engineering innovation.

GCS recently published a retrospective article to highlight some of the brightest moments of the last 10 years. In addition, GCS offers a look at its strategy for the next 10 years, including the increased emphasis on user training and support.
