The GCS Award honors the most outstanding research paper in the field of high-performance computing (HPC) submitted to the International Supercomputing Conference’s (ISC) Research Papers Committee. The GCS Award has been a key component of the ISC conference since the foundation of its sponsor, the Gauss Centre for Supercomputing.
The winner of the GCS Award is selected through a well defined process by an independend award committee which currently is chaired by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Michael M. Resch of HLRS. The winner receives a cash prize of 5,000 Euros, courtesy of GCS, and is publicly introduced at the opening session of the annual ISC conference. Additionally, the winner has the opportunity to present a keynote talk on the winning paper during one of the research paper sessions at ISC.
