Because of the tremendous success of previous events, GCS member Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC) has scheduled another Big Blue Gene Week January 25 to February 1, 2017. During that time frame, the BlueGene/Q supercomputer JUQUEEN at JSC will be dedicated exclusively to large-scale massively parallel computations. Job scheduling will be modified as such that only jobs with a minimum of four Blue Gene/Q racks, or 65,536 compute cores, will be allowed to run, giving users the opportunity to execute their scientifically and computationally most demanding simulations in full parallelism on up to 458,752 compute cores. Smaller jobs will be excluded from execution. This will allow for better scheduling and a quicker turnaround of jobs requiring four to 28 racks.
